Our Story
A story for the ages, centuries apart, yet these two seafaring Captains journeys merge in ways that tell a tale as tall as the great white whale himself.
You see, our founder uscg 100 ton license holder and Capt. Marlon Holden is a modern day explorer and world circumnavigator by way of his family’s 58 ft sailboat. Born to the Hawaiian islands he was raised as a waterman in Kona where his father was a commercial fisherman by the name of Randy Holden. Marlon was raised in the ways of the ocean for the better part of his young adult life, sailing the ocean and running sport fishing yachts all around the world!
Fast forward to the age of twenty-eight years old after winning many prestigious billfish tournaments with multiple podium finishes, Marlon was becoming a bit bored and out of the blue one day he decided to pick up a compound bow and began bow hunting! This new pursuit was raw, new and full of hidden adventures, just like sailing under the stars as a young boy, bow hunting became his new “uncharted waters”.
With a childlike excitement and a relentless ambition to be the best he possibly could, Marlon threw himself to the wild, enduring decades of long hunts into the deepest parts of the North American wilderness. Having taken dozens upon dozens of record book animals, Marlon decided that it was now time to create a line catering specifically to those that were tired of the same old status quo!
You see, Marlon is a no holds barred, raw and unfiltered man. He’s a hunter, whether it be by sea or land and he brings home the bacon with a relentless consistency unknown by most in modern times while still enjoying both pursuits concurrently. There is a very spiritual and connecting nature about each arena, whether it be the ocean or the mountains, they are grounding and lifelong passions.
Marlon’s reverence for the outdoors allows him to play by Mother Natures rules and just as Captain Ahab plied the waters in search of his great white whale, Marlon plies both land and sea searching every canyon, ridge , ocean or high spot in search of his own version of a modern day giant of his own! Both men have a certainty in their step, both men are relentless, driven and stubborn. Born from necessity to survive, yet with a will that dulls even the sharpest of blades. Marlon is here because he desires to share with you the spoils of his tireless effort.
A little bit pirate, a little bit savage, part ruthless, with a pinch of vengeance and a whole lot of heart! Ahab represents all men and women who desire to let a little more of their unfiltered ,primitive, wild side show! If you’re tired of being average and ready to go out and accomplish your dreams, Ahab is what you’ve been waiting for and what you’ve been missing out on all along!
